Chamber Committees & Task Forces

The Hillsboro Chamber has many committees and task forces working on a variety of issues that assist in the implementation of our mission. As a member of the Hillsboro Chamber, committee and task force involvement are ideal ways to share your expertise or learn more about specific topics and areas of interest. Committees and task forces are open to all chamber members. Task forces meet as needed.

Representing Business Interests to Government

Public Policy Committee — makes recommendations to the Hillsboro Chamber Board of Directors regarding the ballot measures, initiatives and resolutions. Committee members are appointed by the Chamber Board. Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Developing Relevant Business Education & Providing Networking Opportunities

Ambassadors Committee — promotes the Hillsboro Chamber at key events throughout the year. Acts as greeters, reaches out to new members and aids in membership efforts. Being an Ambassador involves a one year commitment to the chamber and volunteer involvement in chamber events. Business meetings are the 4th Tuesday of each month at noon in the Chamber Tech Center. Wake Up! Hillsboro visits are at various locations every Friday from 8:00-9:00 AM.

Business Connections Task Force — promotes and develops relationships through opportunities for business education, member-to-member contact and networking connections. Produces and conducts the popular monthly Building Your Business seminars. Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 AM.

Promoting the Community

Chamber Events Planning Task Force — supports and participates in the planning of the various annual Chamber events. Meets as required.

Vision 2020 Implementation Task Force — addresses the Hillsboro 2020 Vision and Action Plan and the assignment of the Lead Partner role of the Chamber is several action items to be accomplished. Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30 AM.
