Regular Itinerary
Day 1, 4/10 Seattle/Beijing
Board a convenient charter bus in the morning from Hillsboro and travel to Sea-Tac International Airport for an afternoon Hainan Airlines flight #HU496 at 2:00 P.M. to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner across the international dateline.
Day 2, 4/11 Beijing
(King Wing Hotel/5-Star) Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China at 4:35 P.M. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport.
Day 3, 4/12 Beijing
Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world. Sightseeing also includes the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of
24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms, and the Summer Palace, known for much significance such as the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen- Arch Bridge and Marble Boat.
Day 4, 4/13 Beijing
Tour bus excursion to the Great Wall, the 4,000- mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by naked eye from the moon. Visit the Ming Tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors’ Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration. Roasted Beijing Duck Dinner.
**Day 5, 4/14 Beijing** (change - new day)
Visit Lama Temple and the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heaven for a good harvest.
Day 6, 4/15 Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou
(Glamor Hotel/4-Star) Morning China Hainan flight to Shanghai, then take the bus to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing to the centuries old Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple. Visit the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, an important local craft with 1,000 years history. Evening dinner show of traditional Chinese music.
Day 7, 4/16 Suzhou/Hangzhou
(Regal Hotel/5-Star) Morning tour bus journey to Hangzhou. Visit the economic development zone. Visit to the centuries old Lingyin Temple, with the main feature of the 64.3 ft-high camphor-wood carved Buddha.
Day 8, 4/17 Hangzhou/Shanghai
(Guangdong Hotel/5-Star) Morning boat cruise on West Lake with relaxing stop-over at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses. Afternoon tour bus trip to Shanghai.
Day 9, 4/18 Shanghai
Sightseeing includes the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over-arching trees. Visit Bund, a famous waterfront park. Business visit to the Pudong economic development zone.
Day 10, 4/19 Shanghai/Seattle
Take morning Hainan flight #HU7604 at 8:45 A.M.-10:45 A.M. to Beijing, then HU495 at 4:20 P.M. for Seattle, where you will arrive at 12:00 P.M. on the same day and return via bus.

Day 5, 4/13 Xi’an
Morning flight to Xi’an, stay at Grand Castle Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing to the Big Wild Geese Pagoda. Evening entertainment of Tang Style Dancing.
Day 6, 4/14 Xi’an
Morning bus excursion to the Terra-Cotta Warriors at the Tomb of the First Emperor of Qin Dynasty. On the way back, visit the Huaqing Hot Spring Park and Banpo Museum, a preserved pre-historical cavemen site.
Days 7-9
Flight to Shanghai, then same itinerary as everyone else.

- Travel orientation: Wednesday, November 4, 5:30-7:30 pm at the Hillsboro Chamber (5193 NE Elam Young Parkway, 97124). RSVP by calling 503.726.2145.
- Payment: $200 per person, non-refundable deposit at time of registration; full payment due by December 18. Deposit will be credited towards your trip.
- Optional side trip to Xi’an is an additional $450/per person.
- Valid passport is required. Securing or updating a passport is the traveler’s responsibility. A valid passport is required to obtain a travel visa.
- Valid travel visa is required. Processing fee is $145. The Hillsboro Chamber will process all visas.
- Single room occupancy is available at additional $450.
- A minimum $25 gratuity (one-time ask for entire tour) is not included and will be collected on your first day.

- The airline imposes a $500 cancellation fee after tickets are purchased, if for any reason you need to cancel. Travel insurance is recommended in case of any cancellations.
