Leadership Hillsboro’ mission is to educate leaders from diverse backgrounds and experiences to build tomorrow’s community.
Leadership Hillsboro is currently accepting applications
Deadline is Friday, August 8, 2014
Leadership Hillsboro is an exciting and unique opportunity designed to develop the leadership potential existing in our area. Participants are challenged to increase their knowledge and become actively involved in problem solving through dialogue with current community leaders. Through this process, they gain valuable new perspectives and hopefully identify the area of the community they would like to align themselves with.
A group of 30 participants are selected each year to take part in the program. They learn to work together and will benefit from the many different points of view that will come from the variety of backgrounds in the group. This lays the groundwork for cooperation on existing and future community issues. The experiences gained in this unique program will have an immediate, positive effect on the participants, their organizations and our community. Each will be better informed and more skilled in active community leadership.
It is exciting for the Chamber to watch as our Leadership Hillsboro graduates leave the program and take active leadership roles throughout the community!
Leadership Hillsboro Advisory Council
The Leadership Hillsboro Advisory Council consists of professional Leadership Graduates who are committed to the mission and vision of the program. The Council members work directly with the participants to provide direction for the nine monthly programs during the year.
