Leadership Hillsboro 2011/12 application (pdf)

The objective of Leadership Hillsboro is reflected in these goals:
- To develop awareness of the Washington County/Hillsboro area – its challenges and opportunities.
- To form a network of informed, concerned citizens who can help guide the future growth of our community.
- To strengthen leadership abilities by interacting with and learning from other leaders.
- To educate and motivate leaders to greater involvement in the community.
Last year's graduates of the Leadership program are responsible
for the development of this year's programs including subject
matter, speakers and logistics. The Leadership Advisory Council
provides guidelines, meets with the Program Director and assists
with the development of the program.
The Leadership program is designed to put the participants in
contact with numerous leaders; to build an increasing awareness
of the functioning of the community; and instill a heightened
personal commitment to become involved.
We thank the strength of our Leadership program-- its supporters.
They have been very generous to us-- sharing their staff, facilities,
speakers, and in some cases providing transportation and in all
cases, participants for the program. Because of their positive
attitude we have grown in all ways, becoming a successful, rewarding
and exciting part of Washington County.
