Benefits of membership
Meet new people, see new businesses, get your finger on the pulse of Hillsboro! The Chamber hosts a monthly Business Forum, a monthly Business Exchange, and weekly Focus on Business events, just to name a few. Check our online calendar for upcoming events. We encourage members to show up and get involved!
Representing the Interests of Business with Government
The Hillsboro Chamber is the voice of the Hillsboro business community. With nearly 800 members representing 46,000 employees, the Hillsboro Chamber works year-round to ensure local elected officials and other decision makers are educated on the impact their actions have on the local economy. As a result of the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce’s lobbying activities, the percentage of dues that may be deducted as an ordinary and necessary business expense is subject to restriction. We estimate the nondeductible percentage of your dues payment to be 3%.
Come be a part of these people working towards their goals of making Hillsboro a safe, clean, and healthy place to live and do business. Committees range from Education to Business Connections, and from Agriculture/Forestry to Government Affairs. Collectively, these committees can do together what none of us can accomplish alone.
The Chamber Visitor Guide & Member Directory offers Chamber members an excellent opportunity to successfully market their businesses with cost-effective display advertising. Other advertising opportunities include the Hillsboro/Washington County Map, "Serving the Silicon Forest" - A high tech focus, Hillsboro Relocation packets and our monthly newsletter, the Hillsboro Business Advocate. The Chamber receives many calls each day asking for referrals. Chamber members are always referred to the general public first.
