Networking Events

The Hillsboro Chamber presents many networking events to allow members to meet each other and make business connections.

Business After Hours
Focus on Business
Business Exchange
President's Roundtable
Women-Owned Business Roundtable

Business After Hours
Business After Hours is a quarterly event that provides members the opportunity to enjoy casual networking in a relaxed environment. These events are held at a variety of venues throughout Hillsboro.

Business Exchange
Business Exchange is held the first Thursday of every month from 7:30 to 8:30 AM and is open to all members of the Chamber.

Focus on Business
The Focus on Business Program is run by the Chamber Ambassadors. Weekly programs are hosted by a Chamber member to showcase their business with a 20-25 minute presentation. Guests tour the facility and have plenty of opportunity to network with other members. In 2006, we are celebrating with companies who have been with the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce for 25 years or more. The Chamber Ambassadors invite all members and guests to attend these programs.

President's Roundtable
The President’s Roundtable offers a forum to build camaraderie and trust so that Hillsboro area business leaders can share problems, develop solutions, and learn from each other. The purpose of the President’s Roundtable is to provide an opportunity for Presidents and CEOs to advise and consult with their peers through monthly, facilitated work sessions. The program is based on a non-selling, non-competitive atmosphere. All matters that are discussed are held in strictest confidence.

The Roundtable is facilitated by Michelle Rios, owner and operator of Dos Rios Coaching & Consulting. She has over 15 years of combined experience in the art of Human and Organizational Effectiveness through coaching, counseling, training, facilitation and leadership development. The Roundtable is exclusively for President’s and CEO’s of Hillsboro businesses. Contact Deanna Palm for more information.

Women-Owned Business Roundtable
On the Third Thursday of each month from noon to 1:00 PM, women entrepreneurs and community leaders meet to discuss a variety of topics that concern women owned businesses. Join us for these lively discussions. Members only.

Business Education

Part of the Chamber's mission is to provide relevant business education to its members. We do this through a variety of programs:

Chamber Business Forum
Building Your Business Workshops
Coneccion de Negocios

Chamber Business Forum
The Chamber's Business Lunch Forums are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Glenn and Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center, 527 E. Main Street in downtown Hillsboro. Cost is $17 for members and $20 for guests.

Building Your Business
If you are growing your business or just looking to build skills, join us on the third Wednesday of each month from 11:30 to 1:00 pm. These presentations cover a variety of topics that may help you reach a new level of success with your business. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers.

Coneccion de Negocios
This seminar is designed for both emerging small businesses and those working on expanding. All presentations are held in Spanish language, and presented at the Chamber office on the second Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

"Our chamber membership helps us fulfill our commitment to be an asset to the community. It allows us to participate in community initiatives that benefit the business environment and the community at large."

"Participating in chamber membership is also important to Intel Oregon because our employees live and work here. The Chamber's efforts to create more attractive communities in Hillsboro ultimately contributes to attracting a skilled workforce. Intel is dependent on attracting highly skilled employees, so the Chamber's work directly impacts our business success."
